Government officials reported today that the one million plus "mini-marts" have petitioned Capitol Hill for 24 Billion dollar Bail-Out "Recovery" Initiatives. Claiming the economic crisis on the state level has left them with little choice but to now actually have to ring something into the register and then have to pay the state tax rather than the accustomed method of pocketing the cash and claiming small profits or small business losses.
"Tax man is everywhere now. Have to ring in more sales and time most hard." One anonymous shopkeeper announced quietly to this reporter.
Congress is not sure yet how to handle these numerous small business owners many of whom reside in NY State where the repeal of the license law has allowed illegal immigrants to acquire a residential driving license so that they are assured proper identification, you know to give that information to their employers, go to Family Services and such other constructive methods of enhancing the country. With over 500,000 small local mart owners in the tri-city area alone Congress is hard pressed to come to a solution to the failing, "Deli, Lottery, Drug Paraphernalia, Beer, Twinkie, Potato Chip, Lighter, Phone Card carrying Candy holding owners of which the several we asked for a claim to failing financial resources claimed to not have instant availability to their last quarters tax statements or a copy of the actual individual state sales tax paid.

Also joining the bailout wagon or recovery initiative McCaskey's threw their hat into the Congressional Ring. Losing money on their Double Corky with Cheese on their One Dollar Eats Menu a spokesperson cited rising costs in shipping and product cost as factors. McCaskey's is asking Congress to match funds for each McCaskey's Double McCaskey with Cheese Burger for the next fifteen years to find economic balance and not upset the nations rising obesity levels.
