"Houston . . . We have a Problem!"
April 11, 2008

I do not lean one way or another to a political party. Truth be told I think the whole process is conflicting and balances nothing. We cannot be conservative or liberal only as that requires perfect absolutes. None are perfect and few are absolute. It is the nature of humans to learn for better or worse, ways to insure personal motivations and fulfillment. I tend to lean toward liberal life views but can become very frugal (conservative) with matters of finance. So am I a "Demo-Publican?"
Yes this is another assassination on the Integrity of the human condition. Why do I want a leader that is fuzzy about past events? That lack of personal clarity has no place in a position of authority. "Did you send the authorization to launch?" "I'm sure I did but it's been such an eventful day, I do remember a fight in the rose bushes this morning. Why is there a problem?" Yes, sarcasm ... but all of us must live with the individual that is elected to whatever position of authority that we vote them too. Their mistakes in congress or the house reflect surely our mistakes in our perceptions.
Originally as I've written before, it is time for a female, a person of color or ethnicity just for the change that it offers over 200 years of basically White Anglo Saxton Protestant Leadership. It is most certainly time for change! However it's time for the country to change. It's time we open our eyes to the essence of the people that stand before us and without some loyal emotional content think logically about our leadership, our families and our country.
I believe it is time for the candidates to overcome ego, overcome the feeling that one will overcome the odds and band together to unify our decision. To let this lingering by any party to continue is pointless. It is certain that there are two people who are more interested in the events at the end of the day on April 22, 2008 than others. That is a day that could well define future history in making promises of change on both sides of the parties' fence.
