"I was Wrong! How Could it Happen?"
January 7, 2009

Terrible Results       I was wrong. I've only hunger to blame for my rash reasoning regarding recent ramifications referencing our new President's P.O.P. (People of Power). It's a case of shoulda, woulda, coulda when it comes to certain appointments. Actually one specific appointment and that the nomination and sure acceptance of Hillary Clinton as the Secretary of State throws the balance of power right where it should be if in chance President Obama does not get to lead for a second term. Next up on the political possibilities of people of power would be the succession of Sen. Clinton to head up her sure to be nominated run for this countries highest office. The assumption, poor on our part gave her a surety that she would assume a position as a Vice-Presidential candidate with Obama and the sadness of this lack of forethought quite simple, her confirmation as said Secretary will certainly give her more influence with the people of the country and to the access of every level of government without the somewhat subliminal duties as the second in command.
I will however assume that this was a contractual agreement forged long ago when the whispers of what to do with Sen. Clinton after she'd lost the Democratic nomination. After all others whispered long afterward of a similar nod toward a shared ticket not thinking as we did not that a shared ticket could have easily doomed both as in . . . supposed Sen. McCain had won? By separating herself in such a way gave her leverage with both the Democratic Party and an option to do something of substance with a possible appointment to a post with a Republican win. When life hands you lemons, Clinton has always known how to make lemonade!
